This is my homage to a great lady.
I first time I ever really thought about Tina Turner was after watching her biopic “Tina” (she is played by Angela Basset who is incredible in this film).
I had no idea that she overcame such hardship, fleeing her abusive ex husband Ike, who stole everything from her.
She ran away with nothing, turned to spirituality and lived her life as a pure spirit sharing her phenomenal talent with the world. She was over 50 when she relaunched her career playing to packed stadiums.
Her hair is so powerful, and her spirit so strong.
My faves are “Proud Mary” and “River deep mountain high.” Epic stuff.
